Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet community located in The West Island of Montreal is one of those "sleepy" location. A lot of people who aren't aware of the name mistakenly believe that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually this is not the case. West Island includes everything westward from Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel grew up on the West Island, and it is commonly known as the place where she was born. But she only resided there for a very short time. Brugel grew in Courtice close to Oshawa. At the beginning of her life she hoped to become a performer but an unexpected expansion of her body made it impossible. She admitted in an article written by the Toronto Star that she is 6'1" tall when wearing heels. When I grew out of my male dancers, I decided to quit. Brugel was one of many former dancers that turned into acting. The teacher she had at high school was what pushed her in the right direction. Teacher who recommended she try getting a part in the the school's annual show. She tried out and eventually got the role of the main character for the role in Anne of Green Gables. The show was granted a Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to attend York University's Theatre Program which she completed at the age of 20 with a degree of Bachelor's in Fine Arts. In the last 20 years, the roles played by Brugel on TV and the big screen have been numerous. The character of Rita in the award-winning series The Handmaid's Tale was her most notable. Brugel was the sole Canadian cast member for Season 1 of the series, and only seen occasionally.
